Yemen's Access Constraints Map: An Analysis of Road and Port Accessibility in February 2024

This is a map of Yemen, focusing on access constraints as of 11 Febuary 2024. Here are the key points:

  • Routes and Roads: The map shows main and secondary roads, with different colors indicating their accessibility status. Red lines represent closed routes, yellow lines represent open routes with constraints, and green lines represent open routes. Roads in Hodeidah, Ma'rib, Abyan, Hajjah, Saada, Al-Jawf, and parts of Ta'zil are still closed. Most roads in Yemen are open with some restrictions, including roads along the southern coast.

  • Ports and Airports: Specific ports like Al Hudaydah, Saleef, and Ras Isa, as well as airports including Sana’a International Airport, are marked on the map. The map indicates that the port of Balhaf in Shabwa and the port of Mokha in Taiz are closed. While the ports of Aden, Mukalla, Al-Shahr and Al-Hudaydah are operating.

  • Source: The map is developed by the Access Working Group under the Inter-Cluster Coordination Mechanism (ICCM) led by OCHA Yemen. Download the original from here.
